2024 Father's Day Picks

Father's day is just around the corner and when it comes to shopping for the dads in our life, I for one always find this day a bit hard.
My father, father-in-law and husband are all men who lead a fairly simple life and don't need or want much in terms of material things. Their hobbies don't require yearly upgrades, they're not ones who desire small gadgets and usually whatever they want to get, they can get it themselves. So that leaves us with few options…
Over the years I've learned that it's sometimes the simple things, like a group experience, that can have an even bigger/more meaningful impact, to show how much you care.
- Going mini golfing with the family
- Taking them out for a special lunch or dinner
- A family night out at a drive in movie
Tasty treats are always a good Go To!
I've once made a box of snacks where I added little messages to each treat like, "Smarties - to keep your brain sharp" "Life Savers - for the many times you've been one" "Tootsie Rolls - to help you roll with the punches" "Starburst - for the burst of energy when you need one" etc,
It's fun and memorable! And avoids a collection of somewhat cheesy "dad" gifts year after year..
